Stephanie Naini Kuluo

I’m Stephanie Naini Kuluo, a Thorn Tree School alumnus as of 2006.

I’m a Business Development Manager at Eco Ride Ventures Ltd. We are looking to revolutionize and innovate the boda boda industry in East Africa through sustainable eco-mobility. My job is to ensure that the business gains positive growth through brand recognition and profitability.

My fondest memories of Thorn tree stem from it being a community not just a school. As a new student, I wasn’t pressured to perform though the competition was stiff. My teachers (Mr. Maina, Mr. Atulo, Mr. Wambua, Tr. Dormitila, Tr. Diana, Tr. Sintet…and so on) ensured that I was comfortable and confident. When there was a problem, they would create a platform and I would voice my concern. Even in the face of criticism, they gladly accepted it and made improvements. In class, we were all equal irrespective of gender and background. Discipline was instilled in us gently but painfully and with it came memories of laughter and long-lasting friendships.

Thank you Thorn Tree for making my childhood memorable and I encourage all to join our community.
